As we prepare to celebrate 20 years of existence on Uganda airwaves as a community radio, our listeners join us with their experiences of tuning into our programs and relevance of MamaFM through the journey. Their views are going to be episodically brought unto you on a daily till grand day, August 24th, 2021 as we usher you into the 20th anniversary of MamaFM. Today we bring you:
Mrs. Christine Nambi, a teacher has been a fun of Mama FM for over 10 years and has been directly involved in activities organized by the station such as Trainings and workshops. As a beneficiary of Mama FM’s programs, Christine is grateful to the station for motivating women to become leaders.
“As an aspiring politician, I have gained confidence through workshops organized by the station and I thank Mama FM for the capacity building and skills training they organize for the community.” Says Christine.
Christine’s Favourite Programs include PapaMama hosted by Senga Nantume, “Tuteese”, and “Obuyimba Obutaffa”.
The program “Papa Mama” has helped Christine solve problems in her marriage.
“My husband was a drunkard and because of that we had very many issues including fighting, but everytime I listened to that program, I got counseling and advice. Through that program, Pastor Male even came to my home, counseled and prayed for us, my husband reformed and became a better person, my marriage survived”.
